Neither here nor there

I have felt a prolonged sense of confusion surrounding my connection to my mixed British-Japanese heritage. This is not a new feeling, rather a new variation of the same questions that I have always asked myself: if I am seen as Japanese in Britain, but seen as British in Japan, where do I belong?
